One of the best times I have had on an excursion activity has been dogsledding during the cold winter in Quebec, Canada. Friends and I had been visiting the area on vacation, and although I thoroughly enjoyed the skiing, the dog sledding was certainly more memorable.
We booked the dog sledding excursion over the phone with a local organization that bred and rescued Alaskan Huskies and trained them for dog sledding. The group offers 3 hour retreats where you get to meet all 65 dogs on site, learn how to harness them to a sled, and go out on a sledding adventure. A well-needed break in between offers light refreshments and a chance to warm up.
